My outlook on rats is simple. Rats are like fuzzy little humans that deserve healthy foods, comfy beds, and the best medical attention money can buy. I do not except that they're lives are short & they only cost $5, so a $50 vet bill is too much... YEAH RIGHT. I payed $200 for Keras' lump removal. Do you think I'm going to stand for you being too broke to get $10 antibiotics? More bitterness towards bad pet owners below, haha.

I built this page after doing formal research (aka reading as much info as Google could find, and reading books by Debbie "the Rat Lady" Ducommun and others). I am a huge fan of rat.

What can you find on this site?

On this site, I've gathered information about bedding, food, treats, care, cages, and anything else you might want to know. However, this site is NOT a substitute to good veterinarian care. I am aware of the lack of exotic specialists in some areas, but that is no excuse. It is your responsibility to find them the care they need, as well as have the information to care for them properly. It is not a corporate mistake if you buy a harmful product for your pet. I agree that harmful products should not be marketed, but it's YOUR responsibility to know what is safe for your pet! Most of the animal community feels this way.

Coming soon: I plan on reformating the bedding information with pictures and a description of each bedding. I also plan on adding more research I've gathered from books, and a works cited & links page. I also need to update my cage page, as it's currently quite out of date.
